Motor mounts carry the static and dynamic loads of the motor throughout its entire service life and are also an important factor in isolating low to high frequency vibrations of the motor throughout its entire service life. Electrically or pneumatically switchable hydro motor mounts address divergent comfort requirements. These requirements range from isolating low amplitude excitations like engine idle shake to dampening high amplitude excitations from the road.
A switchable central bypass channel reduces dynamic stiffness and thus improves idle vibration. While driving, the bypass channel is closed to dampen road shake for optimized driving comfort.
The main rubber spring secures radial stiffness and can be modified in material and shape to meet customer requirements. Vertical rubber stoppers can further be assembled. They do not have to be bonded, thereby offering an efficient modular solution for mass production.
Motor mounts control engine movement in all directions, ensuring excellent driving comfort and driving dynamics without compromising performance.
