Designed for high loads and high damping, increased motor life, and reduced noise and vibrations
Elastomer or rubber ring providing damping and stiffness
Torsional Vibration Dampers (TVDs) reduce crankshaft vibrations. This increases the life of the motor, reduces unwanted noise and allows lightweight crankshaft design. Vulcanized TVDs are designed for high loads, high damping and excellent runout accuracy.
Elastomer types provide excellent damping and stiffness characteristics. The inertia ring serves as the vibration mass for the Vulcanized TVD. In many applications it provides the torque transmission to the auxiliary belt drive.
